The Running Assessment and Development Program by Take It
(Coming Soon!)
What is RAD?
RAD is our Running Assessment and Development program for athletes who run. It is your comprehensive program for gait analysis, physical assessment, and customized training to help you thrive as an athlete.Â
Mechanical breakdown will slow you down and increase your risk for injury. Your cardiovascular system is your engine, but your musculoskeletal system is your chassis. RAD will identify the weak links in your chassis so you can minimize your mechanical breakdown and elevate you as an athlete.
At the end of this page, you can sign up for the RAD Program Waitlist and you'll have priority access to exclusive offers only available for founding RAD athletes!
Who is RAD for?
Our RAD program serves all athletes who run, not just runners.Â
Runners at the beginner level: The rate of injuries in runners has been reported to be as high as 40% in some studies. Novice runners - new runners - have an even higher rate of injury. Using RAD, we can identify areas that increase your risk for injury, we call these your weak links. As you address those weak links you reduce your risk of injury so you can keep running.
Women returning to running postpartum: Running is a complex activity and requires a lot from your body. For a smooth transition back to running after baby, you want to make sure your body is ready to handle the demands of running. Using RAD, we'll identify key components of pelvic stability you may need to address to help you run safe and strong.
Athletes returning to running post knee surgery: Research shows athletes who get ACL reconstructive surgery can have altered running mechanics, even at 2 years post-surgery. With RAD, we will be able to objectively compare how each leg is performing and identify key weaknesses.Â
Athletes returning to running post lower-body injury: Any athlete recovering from injury is going to return to running before they return to sport. Mechanics, mobility, and strength can all change. With RAD, we'll identify any limitations you have that may be affecting your ability to run optimally.Â
High school cross country athletes: We recommend every athlete who runs receive a baseline analysis in the preseason. We highly recommend high school cross-country athletes receive a baseline analysis to establish data for comparison in the event an injury does occur, as well as identify those weak links that may increase your risk of injury.Â
Intermediate runners seeking to improve their performance: RAD will break down your running mechanics and identify areas that may be hindering your performance. Improve your efficiency as a runner and you'll break those PRs.
Runners who experience recurrent injuries: RAD will give you insights into why you may be experiencing these injuries. We'll also review your training history, nutrition, and recovery to find the root cause.Â
Note: - This is not a rehab program. If you have a current injury and are not able to run, we encourage you to schedule a clinic visit with a physical therapist. - Dr. Scott currently treats patients at Foundation Physical Therapy in South Jordan, UT.
RAD is available to athletes in Salt Lake County, UT.
We can make it to Davis County and Utah County for an added fee.

Why Choose RAD?
Dr. Annalee Scott, DPT aka Coach Lee is a sports physical therapist who specializes in treating lower extremity injuries and athletes recovering from ACL rehabilitation. She is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning coach passionate about working with athletes. Almost all running-related injuries involve the lower extremity. Whether you are a recreational runner, or an athlete working to return to sport, this is for you. She created RAD to help athletes prevent injury, optimize their performance, and achieve their goals.Â
Biomechanical data used to be limited to university labs but with current technology, we bring the lab to you! With the data obtained from our expert analysis combined with the knowledge and specialty of Dr. Scott, you will be set up with the most specific recommendations possible to help you thrive. We use data to drive our decisions to help you move forward with confidence.Â
Where are RAD services provided?
The initial assessment is mobile! We come to you for optimal convenience. We do need a treadmill with enough space behind it and to the side for camera set up. If you have the space but no treadmill, we will bring one with us! If you don't have the space, we can meet at a gym.Â
Services for Development are offered virtually. We use our Take It training app to give you your training plans. You will also report feedback in this app.Â
